Southport Ministry

Have you ever been to Southport England? If not, its a small but beautiful place.  It is very different from America. We stayed in Southport with amazing three Bible workers; Damian, Tony, and Jonathan. Some of the girls also stayed with a very nice lady named Val. We went outreaching all over  Southport, but our favorite areas were  Main Street, Chapel Street, and Lord Street. We especially loved Lord Street because of the awesome stores we found and the awesome people we met there.

We had Sabbath worship in Southport. It was a pretty small building with a small group of people, but I felt more warm and at home here than in many bigger churches. We led out in sabbath school and the church service. For sabbath school, Sam gave her testimony about prayer. Mr. Peacock preached his sermon for the church service. People told us afterwords that they were so blessed how young people like us are working for God. We had another meeting after lunch, and most of the people came back for the meeting. It seems like a little thing but it was really big blessing from God for us.

It is so amazing how God works in so many different situations with so many solutions. Staying in England for mission trip was kind of hard and stressful for me but I learned so many things by those trials. This mission trip has taught  me to depend more on God. I was not a Godly person at all when I was in Korea and I never read the Bible before. Actually I got my bible when I was 10 years old already but I haven’t read it. Even when I was in Weimar, I just made excuses and just read step to Christ and Desire Ages, which was my Bible class homework. It was first time reading Bible by my own will and Proverbs gave me so many blessings through this mission trip. It is really amazing how God is working in my life!
