March 1: Independence Day!

After worship this morning, three busses full of eager students left Dong Sung middle school bound for one destination. In each of our groups, we were dropped off at a national Korean museum to guide the students on their first field trip of the school year. Here, we saw historical buildings, statues, artifacts, and palaces which we all enjoyed. We got to see the history that South Korea has that we never knew before. I found it interesting that as you drive the streets, you can see Korean flags everywhere. This is because here in South Korea, today is equal to our Independence day in America. History is everywhere, and today the weather made it a perfect day to learn with the students about their heritage.

By lunch, we all came back here to school to eat  and then participate in a very interactive workshop: soccer. After the rest of the workshops, Mr. Cosmin shared with us more of his testimony. In the rest of this story, he told us how he met his wife, Ms. Rina who is now our choir teacher at the academy. It’s amazing how God works His will in our lives to bring us to the right place at the right time. And for us, Weimar Academy we are in Korea. The right place at the right time just before the coming of Jesus.
